William B. & Elizabeth Behr Agocs Geophysical Research Fund
Established by a bequest in 2000, this fund provides grants to Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary to provide awards for outstanding graduate students in the studies of geophysics. Award recipients are chosen by a committee of faculty and staff at the University.
William B. Agocs was the third person to receive his Ph.D. in Physics from Lehigh University. He served as a consultant for Bethlehem Steel Corp. and helped to discover iron deposits in Morgantown and Marmora areas. He was a professor at Kutztown University and served as the chair of the Physics department. He retired in 1980.
