Debra “Frau” Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1997, this Fund honors Debra Brown, a teacher known to her students as ‘Frau’ Brown, and known for her creativity in teaching and her commitment to the totality of learning for her students. Grants from the Fund support post-secondary scholarships for students who have studied German in the Bethlehem Area School District. Recommendations for scholarship grants are made by the faculties at Freedom High School and Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA.
Debra “Frau” Brown was a German teacher at Freedom High School where she also advised the German Club. She was a member of the American Association of Teachers of German and served on the board of the Bethlehem Schwabische Gmund Association.
