Pharo Family Fund
In 2003, the late Donald Pharo and his brother, the late Robert, decided to terminate their family’s private foundation, the Pharo Family Foundation, by transferring the assets of the private foundation to create a permanent donor advised fund of the Community Foundation. Along with their brothers Richard and the late John, the Pharos established the private foundation to continue the philanthropy started by their parents. Today, the philanthropy of the Pharo family is sustained through the Pharo Family Fund, with the involvement of the next generation of Pharo family members, and through grants to non-profit organizations and philanthropic programs historically supported by the Pharo Family Foundation.
